Art is worth thinking about every day! I thrive on having the opportunity to paint, draw, be creative, talk with other artists, or teach art classes. Children are especially fun to work with and I have volunteered or had work to teach art in school classrooms for about 8 years now. Cheers if you love art too!

What I did for Art today
Today I was busy organizing some artwork to photograph, and I found this piece I was working on this past summer. It is acrylic on paper and I worked on it off and on for about 4 months. I enjoyed the shapes and working the positive/negative space so much that the paper started to wear out. I continued to work on it past this stage- until the paper was crumbling! Taking photos along the way so I could use them in Gimp, I never really intended to keep this painting. It was lovely working on large paper and just seeing what happened using just 3 colors; white, gold and purple. The evolution and the fact that it was not going to be a saved piece, added a feeling of serendipity that I liked.

I love it! This is fun. And I like that you are actually using it as a blog, unlike me.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work.
